Our Danish Translations include a Early Danish Translation The first Danish translations date to the 16th century. The first example was the Danish translation of the New Testament of the Bible. Well-known Danish writer and translator Christiern Pedersen translated the New Testament around the year 1543. It was one of the most important works of the time. This translated version of Bible was further printed and published for the common people of Denmark. The second example of Danish translation in the history of Denmark was the translation of the ‘Gesta Danorum,’ which was a set of book in written in Lattin by the great Danish historian ‘Saxo Grammaticus;’ he began writing them in the late 12th century and completed them in the early 13th century. These books were mainly about the history of Denmark up to and including the 12th century. All sixteen books from the ‘Gesta Danorum’ were translated in or around the year 1598 by Anders Vedel. The first nine books of the ‘Gesta Danorum’ were translated into English around the year 1895 and published by Oliver Elton. “Brighter than a Thousand Suns: A Personal History of the Atomic Scientists” is a book about nuclear energy written by Robert Jungk. It was translated into Danish in the early 20th century. This book gained importance because it was about different projects related to atomic energy in the world. Danish translation in modern times Modern times have becomee more demanding than the past. Businesses from different segments now have a chance to cross their domestic borders and take a bite out of international markets. This has resulted in an atmosphere of heavy competition. In order to deal with the competition and still survive, businesses need to take on the help of different services so that they can target customers across markets. Using the local language in promotional campaigns is one important solution for attracting consumers. Danish translation today has become a value-adding resource for businesses from any segment that wish to market their products and services in the Danish-speaking consumer market. |
